NPSO Deputies Arrest Two Suspects on Felony Drug Charges during early morning Campti Traffic Stop

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested two people on felony drug charges during a traffic stop near Campti early Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday morning March 31st, at approximately 4:00am, Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Division stopped a 2001 Cadillac Deville at the intersections of La. Hwy 480 and La. Hwy 486 in the city limits of Campti, La.

Deputies say during the traffic stop, they observed suspicious indicators that led them to believe that criminal activity existed. A Red River Parish Sheriff’s Drug Detection K-9 was contacted to assist and responded to the scene which resulted in an “positive alert” to the vehicle for the presence of a narcotic odor. During a search of the vehicle, deputies seized a small amount of suspected crystal methamphetamine, suspected ambient, suspected alprazolam and drug paraphernalia.

Deputies arrested:
Malorie D. White, 26, of the 1300block of US-71, Campti, La.,transported and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with Possession of CDS Schedule II Crystal Methamphetamine, Possession of CDS Schedule IV Ambien, Possession of CDS Schedule IV Alprazolam and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Darrell Joseph Fairchild, 17, of the 200 block of Majors Road, Natchitoches, La., transported and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with Possession of CDS Schedule II Crystal Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Both White and Fairchild remains in the Natchitoches Parish Detention awaiting bond.
