NPSO make arrest on Natchitoches Central High School Parking Lot

A vehicle parked across the concrete median on La. Hwy 3110 and then pulling into Natchitoches Central High School parking lot acting suspiciously late Wednesday night has led to the arrest of a Cloutierville man on drug charges according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

On Wednesday evening April 1st, at approximately 11:30pm, Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Division were patrolling on La. Hwy 3110 near Natchitoches Central High School in Natchitoches, when they observed a 1993 Chevrolet pickup truck parked across the concrete median. Deputies say when the operator of the vehicle observed them he pulled into the parking lot of the school.

Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as Jeremy Michael Reyna, 25 of Cloutierville, La. During the traffic stop, deputies learned that a switched license plate was displayed on the vehicle. Deputies also suspected criminal activity obtaining permission to search the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies seized (2) packages of suspected synthetic marijuana, drug paraphernalia, two other license plates other than the one displaced on the vehicle, and a class ring, that deputies are attempting to identify and locate the owner.

As a result deputies arrested:

Jeremy Michael Lyn Reyna, 25 of the 100 block of Abraham Road, Cloutierville, La., transported and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with Possession of CDS Schedule I Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Careless Operation of a Vehicle, No Compulsary Vehicle Insurance, and Switched License Plate.

Reyna who has a prior arrest record remains in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center awaiting bond.

The vehicle was impounded by a local wrecker service.
