Last Tuesday, the Winn Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary in progress on LA 1229 south of Winnfield.
The caller told deputies one suspect was being held at gunpoint by the homeowner.
Deputies found 24-year-old Dustin Desadier of Winnfield lying face down on the ground being held at gunpoint at the house. He was arrested.
Later, deputies found 32-year-old Shelly Baxter hiding under a truck. She was also arrested.
The homeowner was armed with a shotgun.
