A burglary suspect is still on the loose in Winn Parish and deputies are considering him armed and dangerous.
Last Tuesday, the Winn Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary in progress on LA 1229 south of Winnfield.
The caller told deputies one suspect was being held at gunpoint by the homeowner.
Deputies found 24-year-old Dustin Desadier of Winnfield lying face down on the ground being held at gunpoint at the house. He was arrested.

Later, deputies found 32-year-old Shelly Baxter hiding under a truck. She was also arrested.

The homeowner was armed with a shotgun.

According to deputies, they discovered one more suspect had run for it out of the back of the house. LaSalle Parish Sheriff Scott Franklin brought in a blood hound. A Louisiana State Police helicopter and a Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry plane flew the skies in search of the third suspect.

Deputies said eight warrants were issued for 34-year-old Kenneth Bratton. He was tracked back to LA 34 where it is believed he caught a ride.

Deputies say over the weekend, Bratton broke into a home in Calvin on Highway 1232 and stole a rifle and shotgun – both guns are loaded. He also stole a Kubota tractor and abandoned it behind the agriculture building behind Calvin High School.

Desadier was charged with Simple Burglary and Possession of Methamphetamines.

Baxter was charged with Simple Burglary, Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Xanax, Possession of Legend Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
