Natchitoches Parish President Rick Nowlin has issued an Emergency Declaration due to the cancellation of an agreement for the solid waste bin site in Goldonna. In order to provide residents of that area with a location for delivery of their household waste, the Parish has negotiated a temporary agreement with another property for relocation of the bin site. The continuance of an operable solid waste bin site is necessary to protect the public health of Parish citizens in the Goldonna area. The new bin site will be located on LA. 156 approximately 0.5 mile east of the its intersection with Parish Road 300. It will be available for use beginning on April 15, 2015.
The emergency declaration is based upon the provisions of R.S. 38:2211A(6) and R.S. 38:2212(1) which provide for such declaration in the event of imminent damage to life or property or to provide for the continued function of public entities.
