Cane River Lake is now at 99.8 with little rise remaining. Extreme flood stage on the lake is 100.0. Water is still pouring over the spillway, however on the downstream side Red River, Old River, Lower Cane River has begun backing up. We are monitoring it closely for a reverse flow, when that occurs the Spillway will close. With the forecast of rain later tonight I strongly recommend that you take a close look at your boathouses. Further rise could trap boats in boathouses resulting in possible property damage. Boats are now drifting on top docks, piers, walkways and over retaining walls unto property please monitor your property closely and make adjustments as needed.
