Law Enforcement “Flame of Hope” Torch runners were greeted by Cloutierville Elementary students this morning, while carrying the torch to Rapides Parish.

NPSO Deputies Mary Byers and Natalie Brown-Denby are seen greeting the students.

Each year the torch relay involves more than 1500 law enforcement officers and personnel
representing more than 200 law enforcement agencies across the State of Louisiana.

The mission of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR)for Special Olympics is to increase
awareness and raise funds for the Special Olympics movement.  Each year, the LETR initiative
grows bigger and better.
