Thanks to the Natchitoches Parish Department of Transportation for granting my request for placing this sign on my road. This is a growing trend around the state as well as the country. This sign cautions drivers that there is an Autistic child in this area and to slow down. Every year children with Autism and special needs are hurt, lost, or killed due to accidents, wandering, drowning, or leaving the house without warning. This is very common in children with special needs especially one the Autism Spectrum. The sign works! People are driving more carefully down my road these last few days. This gives me a sense of peace and a major feeling of accomplishment. I am very pleased my request was approved and fulfilled. Thanks again, Natchitoches Parish Department of Transportation!
