Cane River Lake is now experiencing low water issues.  The lake is now at 97.0 MSL.  The Spillway and Washington street landings are now closed for safety reasons.  Shell Beach and Point Place landings remain open.

At this level please use extreme caution as debris that was safely under the waterline is now exposed and/or just barely under water and could cause property damage to watercraft hulls and/or props.

The project to pipe water from Red River into Cane River Lake is under construction, with a projected project completion set for the summer of 2016 pending no further delays.  The project has experienced some delays from the flooding earlier this year.  The project is estimated to cost 6-7 million dollars.
