Alene Turner addressed the council about her concerns on the racial tension and relations in Natchitoches and how the council should be involved in helping everyone get along.
Mayor Posey mention the information regarding the annexation discussed at the last meeting. The city attorneys have reviewed the information and the request to move must be made by the developers in order to move forward. The parish is now involved in making the decision and the city is no longer involved at this point.
Mayor Posey also took a moment to remember Dr. Randy Webb and his family. Dr. Webb was the longest serving President of Northwestern State University, and passed away this past Wednesday.
