Chamber Announces Nominees

Mingle with business owners at the Natchitoches Chamber of Commerce’s largest event of the year the 97th Annual Awards Luncheon Wednesday, February 17th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Events Center. Tickets are $40 for Chamber members and $50 for Non-Chamber members. This is the second year that the Chamber has utilized the public to decide who will win the small, mid-size, large and new business of the year awards. With more than 1,000 nominations and well over 3,000 votes the chamber has narrowed it down to the top three businesses in each category.

Nominees for the Small Business of the Year Award are Cane River Surgery Center, Rhodes Property and Development and Smoothie King.

Nominees for the Mid-Size Business of the Year Award are J & J Specialty Lawn & Landscaping, Natchitoches Family Eye Care and Saint Mary’s Catholic School.

Nominees for the Large Business of the Year Award are Alliance Compressors, BOM and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center.

Nominees for the New Business of the Year Award are CrossFit Get it Done, Dickey’s Barbeque Pit and Moreno Surgical Specialists.

The Chamber will also announce the winners of the “4 under 40” awards that will recognize four outstanding members of the Natchitoches Young Professionals. The Natchitoches Young Professionals is an initiative of the Chamber that has grown to nearly 100 members.

“The NYP shows a commitment from that age group in our community to get together and work together to make our community a better place,” said Chamber President Tony Davis.

At the luncheon 2015 Chair Dion Boyett of Bank of Montgomery will officially hand the gavel over to 2016 Chair Janice Bolton of Bolton Realty and the Chamber will recognize its hardworking ambassadors.

The Luncheon will be catered by Lasyone’s Meat Pie Restaurant and is sponsored by International Paper
