The winners of the Small, Mid-size, Large and New Business of the Year Awards were announced at the Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce Wednesday, February 17th at the Events Center. Over 300 people gathered for the luncheon sponsored by International Paper and catered by Lasyone’s Restaurant.
Chamber President, Tony Davis, gave a Year in Review stating that the Chamber had a 44% increase in new members for a total of 344 members. The Chamber held 13 ribbon cuttings and 47 events. Outgoing Chair Dion Boyett of Bank of Montgomery turned over the gavel to Incoming Chair Janice Bolton. “This is a point in Natchitoches history where we are working together more than ever before,” said Bolton. “It’s a village, let’s work together and make it the best one we can.” Davis took the stage to announce the four winners for the Natchitoches Young Professionals 4 Under 40 awards. The NYP is aninitiative of the Chamber and has grown to 95 members since its creation in January of 2015. The winners of the “4 under 40” included Corbin Covher, Vanner Erikson, Haley Blount and Carrie Beth Hough.
