The rain stayed away just long enough for the 5th annual Kasey’s Heart & Soul: Run, Walk & Roll Saturday March 12th. And, Riverbank flooding did not stop the highly anticipated event.Registration was held at Maglieaux’s and the finish line was at the First United Methodist Church. This year,  505 people signed up for the race and 97 people signed up as virtual runners. The race was a success with 145 people crossing the finish line for the 5 and 15K events and 135 people crossing the finish line for the 1-mile event.

The results are in and the winners for the 15K Race in the category of Male Open Winners are: 1st place, John Magnotti of Houston; 2nd place,  John Kyzar of Bossier City; and 3rd place, Steve Rains of Robeline. Female Open Winners are 1st place Allison Mayfield of Shreveport, 2nd Mary Grace Hubley of Natchitoches and 3rd Amy Cross of Natchitoches.

First place winners by age group in the 15K Race include Male 20-29 Dennis Woodruff of Many; Female 20-29, Kat Woodruff of Many; Male 30-39, Christopher Farrington of Leesville; Female 30-39, Jessica Wise Silsbee TX; Female 40-49, Debra Lacour of Natchitoches; Male 50-59, Douglas Bakenhus of Natchitoches; Female 50-59, Charlotte Beard of Vidalia and Female 60+, Toni Martin of Natchitoches.

The winners for the 5K Race in the category of Male Open Winners are 1st place, Jarrett Fulton of Robeline; 2nd place, Austin Millisor of Anacoco and 3rd place Eddie Mayfield of Shreveport. Female Open Winners are 1st place Lori Wheat of Natchitoches, 2nd Rebecca Ward of Natchitoches and 3rdMichaleeJeansonne of Hessmer.
