Cane River Lake Update – March 18, 2016

CaneRiverLake-Natchitoches

The lake is currently at 101.8 MSL. and falling. The Spillway gates remain closed. The lake will continue to drop, however significant lowing of the water levels will not occur until the spillway gates reopen. Absolutely no boats are allowed on the waterway at this time as any boat wake will cause further damage to property. For this reason we will not start the clean up process until the lake falls below 100.0 MSL to minimize damage to property owners. Property owners are urged to monitor their property closely as the water drops, making sure boats are moved out with the water so they do not become dry docked or land on top of retaining walls, docks, walkways, etc. Reopening of the lake will be a lengthily process, your cooperation and patience will be greatly appreciated. I will send out emails as the process progresses to keep you informed. Property owners missing items need to call or email me at http://www.caneriverwaterway.com to be added to the recovery list for the lake.
