Northwestern State University – V.L. Roy Service Day

NSUServiceDay
The Northwestern State University Student Government Association and the First Year Experience are teaming up for a day of service in Natchitoches and we need your help!

On Saturday, April 16, 2016 we hope to have a record number of students, faculty, and staff join us in a service initiative throughout the City of Natchitoches. The day will start on campus at 7:30 a.m. with a welcome and then teams will head out to their assigned service locations.

We are looking for quality community service programs for our students. If you see a need in the community, please share it with us. Whether it is painting houses, raking yards, cleaning, organizing, or assisting with a community event, our students are ready to help! We are hoping to have 15 -20 service locations in April.

Our long range plan is to provide NSU students with one major service day in the fall and spring. This past August we had more than 200 students participate in the [1 of 7] Service Day. The number of students participating grew from just over 100 in 2014. We are excited about the possibilities!

Please consider our request for service ideas and let me know if you would like to participate. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
