The Jay Thomas Traveling Camp came home to Natchitoches this past week after making stops in Monroe, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Lafayette and New Orleans.The camp, in its fourth year of operation, hosted over 60 high school football players from around the state and East Texas. Local high school powerhouses Natchitoches Central and St. Mary’s each had a contingent present. Undeterred by several mandated breaks due to lightning, the players returned to the field and performed drills and plays under the tutelage of Coach Thomas and his position coaches. The size of the camps are purposely kept small so that each camper can receive quality personalized instruction for his position.

The Natchitoches Parish Journal is looking forward to seeing some of these young men in Demon uniforms in the coming years!
