Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, State Police and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS Paramedics responded to a single-vehicle crash June 27 at 5:39 p.m. on Hwy. 486 (Campti Cutoff) near Campti.

The operator of the 2013 Freightliner truck transporting US Mail left the roadway for unknown reasons at this time, striking an Entergy utility pole.

Deputies report power outages outside the city limits of Campti and in the Fairview and Black Lake areas due to the crash.

SWEPCO’s website reported 1, 264 power outages in Natchitoches Parish at 9:07 p.m.

Troopers assigned to LSP Troop-E are investigating the crash.
