Faculty and staff welcomes students and family

Edwin Mason, principal at Natchitoches Junior High-Frankie Ray Jackson, welcomed students and their parents to a full Open House and registration night. With the addition of 115 sixth graders this school year, NJH-FRJ is looking at a total of 520 students.
Mason said this school year isn’t about the parents and faculty agreeing or disagreeing. The common denominator is the students.

“We want to do what’s best for the kids,” he said.

He asked for parents’ help to encourage their children to behave appropriately and come to school each day ready to learn.

“Let’s promote a positive attitude at this school,” he said. “Love, not hate.”
