With a combined 35 years of experience, Van Kyzar, district attorney for the 10th judicial district, held a ribbon cutting ceremony at his campaign headquarters. Kyzar is running for the third circuit court of appeal. Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 8 and early voting is Oct. 25 – Nov. 1.
“As District Attorney, I’ve worked to keep our communities safe,” said Kyzar. “As a judge on the 3rd circuit court of appeal, I’ll be fair and impartial and work to ensure every case is decided strictly on the facts and the law.
A defensive line starter for the Demon football team, Kyzar graduated from Northwestern State University in 1979.
“I’ve lived my entire adult life in Central Louisiana,” he said. “As a member of the Court of Appeal, I promise to uphold the constitution and protect our values.”
Kyzar asked for support from Natchitoches Parish residents to help spread the word amongst the eight parishes that make up a sub-district of the 21 parishes represented in the third district.
“Let’s take care of business at home,” said Kyzar. “Then we’ll take care of it in other parishes.”
