Realtors bowl for Boys and Girls Club

Bowlers came for the strikes and to raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of El Camino Real in Natchitoches. The Central Louisiana Realtors Association (CLRA) collaborated with England Airpark Lanes to host a bowling tournament Aug. 7.

While the bowling tournament was the first event of its kind, it was the fourth big event this year for the CLRA. The CLRA aligns its core standards with the National Association of Realtors. According to Matt Ritchie, NAR Region 10 vice president, NAR President Tom Solomone has a special place in his heart for the Boys and Girls Clubs.

“We’re all involved in communities across the country,” he said. “We thought we’d have the biggest impact with the Boys and Girls Club.”

President of CLRA Lynette Giallonardo explained that because Alexandria doesn’t have a B&G Club, and with the merging of the CLRA with the Natchitoches Board of Realtors, the CLRA chose the Boys and Girls Club of El Camino Real. Janice Bolton and her team of realtors from Bolton Realty in Natchitoches participated in the event. The “Bolton Bowlers” included: Janice Bolton, Shanna Braxton, Jeanine Bridges and Kelsie Parker. The “No-Pro Bowlers,” representing the B&G Club, included: David Guillet, Gunnar Behrendsen, JennaeBiddiscombe and Corey Poole.

“We want to give back to the community,” she said.
