Phlebotomists complete training, certification

Northwestern State University and Stick It Phlebotomy held a commencement ceremony for graduates of a phlebotomy technician course offered through NSU’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education. The class, which had a 100 percent pass rate, required students to complete 100 clinical hours and 100 venipunctures and complete the National Board Certification Exam on site. The course also included Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
