The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum will host a special performance by the NSU Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Douglas Bakenhus as part of their 50th anniversary season. The event will be held Oct. 18 from 5-8 p.m. The performance will feature Dr. Andrej Kurti on the violin.
Enjoy “The Cajun Cornbread Boy” story time for kids and reenactors portraying several of northwest Louisiana’s great athletes and historical figures from 5-6 p.m. as guests explore the museum’s outstanding exhibits. The concert begins at 6 p.m. The evening includes a reception with drinks and light hors d’oeuvres. The program is sponsored by FLASH, the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Foundation, the St. Denis Garden Club, the HDDC and the Natchitoches Northwestern Symphony Society. The event is free and open to the public.
