Kindergarten students from M.R. Weaver Elementary went on a field trip to Anderson Farms Pumpkin Patch in Leesville. They learned what it takes to grow a pumpkin: soil, water and sun. They planted their own pumpkin seeds with their “planter fingers” and picked out pumpkins from the patch to bring home. They went on a hay ride where they learned about wildlife and crawfish. A nature walk taught them about bees and deer feeders. The favorite activities of the day were the hay and corn mazes.
