Natchitoches Parish President Rick Nowlin has cancelled the burn ban that was issued on October 25, 2016. The cancellation is being issued as a result of the rainfall received in the past 48 hours and upon the recommendation of numerous parish fire districts.

Mr. Nowlin asks all citizens to exercise extreme caution during any burn that may become necessary, especially in areas that are still dry. Concerns about a planned burn should be directed to the fire chief of the local fire district or to Mr. Nowlin’s office.
