The seventh grade gifted students at Natchitoches Magnet School, under the direction of their teacher Patrice Harper, wrote to their United States Congressmen and requested an United States flag for the new Natchitoches Magnet facility. Congressman John Fleming quickly responded and sent out a flag which had been dedicated to Natchitoches Magnet School before being flown over the United States Capitol Oct. 27. The flag will be proudly flown in front of the school.
