Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, State Police and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS responded to a single-vehicle crash Dec. 3 at 11:15 a.m. on Interstate-49 near Chopin.

The operator of the 2007 Honda Civic received minor injuries.
He received treatment at the scene but refused medical transport.

The vehicle was traveling northbound on I-49 near milepost# 113 in heavy rain when the operator lost control of the vehicle traveling through the median, overturning coming to a rest on the southbound shoulder of the roadway.

The driver was reportedly wearing his seat belt during the time of the crash.

The crash is being investigated by Troopers assigned to LSP Troop-E Alexandria.
