Miss Merry Christmas 1985, Dr. Mary Lucile Long was joined by her daughter Elizabeth Long, a 2016 Christmas Belle, and over 50 former Miss Merry Christmases, Belles, friends, family members and supporters at their 2016 reunion held at City Bank Saturday, December 3rd. Dr. Long was the earliest Miss Merry Christmas at the event which featured young women from every era since her reign. This year marks the 90th Natchitoches Christmas Festival and the 60th anniversary of the Miss Merry Christmas Pageant. The reunion is held every five years and has become a beloved tradition of the season for the families involved.
