The Natchitoches Historic Foundation began a new Christmas tradition this year called Christmas Along Poete. The event is geared toward giving children a fun place to enjoy the holiday spirit. It will be held Friday, Dec. 16 from 5-8 p.m. on Poete Street in downtown Natchitoches. The event offers family fun, music, dancing, games, demonstrations, Mrs. Claus telling stories and making ornaments, cookie decorating, jump-jump houses and much more. It is free for children 12 and under, if accompanied by an adult. Adult admission is $5.
