The St. Denis Chapter of The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution sponsors a Good Citizens Program. This program honors an outstanding young person in the senior class who demonstrates qualities of a good citizen, as well as provides an opportunity for this student to participate in the scholarship portion of the program.
This year judging for the students selected as Good Citizens will be 70 percent service and personal information and 30 percent essay. The essay is no longer than 550 words, written within a 2-hour time limit and the focus question is not known until it’s time to write the essay.
This year’s winner of the Good Citizens Award is St. Mary’s student Abigail Gardner.
