NCHS’ soccer team held its senior night before a boys/girl’s game against the Pineville High Rebels on Monday, January 16th. The Chiefs, Natchitoches’ lone high school soccer program for over 20 years, presented 11 seniors. NCHS Boy’s coach Rusty Stultz will see off Robert Simmons, James Gillyard, Don Metoyer, Kirhawnte’ Dudley and Tanner Delpin. NCHS Girl’s Coach Yanci Johnson and Asst Coach David Chesal will bid farewell to Avery Keen, Alyssa Niette, Bailey Thompson, Cameron Owsley and Carli Rupp.
The Natchitoches Parish Journal wishes the Chiefs success in the remainder of their season and Godspeed in their future endeavors.
TANNER JEROME DELPHIN
Tanner Jerome Delphin has played varsity soccer for three years. His GPA is 3.25. Tanner is applying to the United States Air Force Academy and has already had two interviews for a possible nomination.
KIRHAWNTE ‘ARY DUDLEY
Kirhawnte’ Ary Dudley has played soccer at NCHS from freshman year through senior year with junior varsity and varsity. He has a
3.0 GPA. Kirhawnte ‘ will be attending Louisiana State University and will major in forestry.
JAMES ANTHONY GILLYARD
James Anthony Gillyard is a three year soccer player. James will be attending Northwestern State University in the fall and will major in Industrial Engineering Technology.
AVERY ELISE KEEN
Avery Elise Keen is a four year varsity player. She was second team all district her junior year. Avery has maintained a 3.60 grade point average for her entire high school career. She will be attending Louisiana Tech in the fall and will major in kinesiology.
DON METOYER, JR .
Don Metoyer, Jr. has played varsity soccer for two years. He will be attending Northwestern State University and will major in computer science.
ALYSSA MARIE NIETTE
Alyssa Marie Niette has played varsity soccer for two years. She will be attending the University of Louisiana – Monroe and will major in nursing.
CAMERON GABRIELLE OWSLEY
Cameron Gabrielle Owsley is a four year starting varsity player. She has maintained a 4.0 grade point average for her entire high school career. Cameron will be attending Louisiana Tech in the fall and will major in Veterinary Science.
CARLI BRIANNE RAUPP
Carlie Brianne Raupp is a four year starting varsity soccer player. She was second team all district freshmen year and first team all district for sophomore and junior year. Carli has maintained a 4.0 grade point average for her entire high school career. She will be attending Louisiana Tech in the fall and will major in Mechanical Engineering.
ROBERT ALAN SIMMONS
Robert Alan Simmons has played varsity soccer for four years. He has a GPA of 3.82. Bob will either attend LSU, Louisiana Tech or Texas A&M. He is undecided but may major in Aeronautical Engineering.
BAILEY GRACE THOMPSON
Bailey Grace Thompson is a four year varsity soccer player. She has maintained a 4.0 grade point average for her entire high school career. Bailey will be attending Louisiana College in the fall where she will play soccer and major in Chemistry/Pre-Med.
