Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, Louisiana State Police, Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS, Natchitoches Parish Fire District #2, and La. DOTD responded to reports of an overturned log truck on La. Hwy 9 at the Government Road , south of Readhimer Jan. 19 at 9:13 a.m.

The operator of the 1988 Freightliner was treated at the scene by EMS and transported by private vehicle to a Ruston hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies say both Government Road and La. Hwy 9 were blocked from the logs and wreckage until the scene was cleared at 1:30 p.m.

Troopers assigned to LSP Troop-E are investigating the crash.
