A Robeline man with 13 prior arrests was arrested on Sunday evening by Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies in connection with the burglary of a shop near Robeline according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
On Sunday evening March 5th at approximately 8:09pm, Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Division responded to reports of a burglary in progress at a mechanic shop in the 200 block of Post Mill Road near Robeline, La.
Deputies arrived on scene within four minutes of the actual call.
Deputies say while speaking with the complainant, he informed them when he arrived at shop he observed a man identified as Jesse Lee inside the shop without his permission.
When the complainant attempted to confront Lee, he ran out the back door.
Deputies along with the complainant began to search the area but were unsuccessful.
Deputies contacted a wrecker service to store Lee’s vehicle after locating it backed-up to the shop with the rear seat laid down.
A short time later, Lee was observed in the rear of the property at which time, deputies were able to issue verbal commands and take him in custody without incident.
Deputies then processed the scene, and gathered information for an offense report.
Jesse Paul Lee, 46, of the 9200 block of Texas Street, Robeline, La. was transported and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with 1-count of Simple Burglary.
Lee remains in the Natchitoches Detention Center awaiting bond.
Deputies say while interviewing Lee, he admitted that he was attempting to get gas from the shop.
