Due to construction on the riverbank, Natchitoches’ Front Street was the scene of two events Saturday, March 18. Several hundred people came to enjoy a morning of family fun and shopping. The Annual Bloomin’ on the Bricks featured 15 activities and plant vendors for the Green Thumbs among us. The popular event, now in its 17th year, is a great way to kick off the spring season.

Right next to Bloomin’ on the Bricks, the Natchitoches art community celebrated the 15th Annual Art Along the Bricks. This celebration of creativity featured 13 vendors and entertainment from musicians and the Indigeaux Belly Dancing Troupe. Children enjoyed a bouncy castle and a facepainting booth as well as children’s art activities. The activities capped off with a silent auction of local artwork.
