Dr. Chris Maggio invites the Natchitoches community to the Flavor of Louisiana, a spring fund raiser and seafood extravaganza that celebrates Northwestern State University’s donors, supporters, alumni and students.
The Louisiana Seafood Board partnered with the NSU Foundation on this event, which allows the foundation to showcase specialty dishes from some of the greatest restaurants across Louisiana.
The Flavor of Louisiana will begin Friday, April 7 at 6 p.m. with music, cocktails and specialty dishes at Prather Coliseum. In conjunction with this event, the Office of the Student Experience will host a silent auction exhibiting special items to help support our students and their scholarships…. There will be performances from the Creative and Performing Arts Department featuring musical ensembles, vocalists and dance exhibitions. There will also be specialty desserts provided by the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management and Tourism Department.
This event is hosted by the NSU Foundation and the Louisiana Seafood Board. This will be the Foundation’s signature event for the year. All proceeds go to support the NSU faculty, staff, programs and scholarships.
Tickets can be purchased online or over the phone. Individual tickets are $65 and couple tickets are $125. Sponsorship packages are available upon request.
