The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum will host author Junior Johnson for a reading and Q&A as he discusses his new book “Tales of a Boy from Cane River” Tuesday, June 27 at 6 pm. Affectionately known as “Junior” the author writes about his life growing up in Cloutierville along the banks of Cane River in a loving sharecropper’s home. His career took him offshore while he worked in the oil and gas industry for 32 years. An accident at work left him disabled, but Junior quickly realized that facing challenges in life doesn’t limit your dreams if you want to pursue them. His first book is a dream come true for him. His goal is that readers of his tories will have fond memories of their childhoods and event in their lives. This event is free and open to the public. Listen to some stories, meet the author and buy a signed copy of his book.
