“Generations of Struggle” Discussion Started at the Natchitoches Parish Library

Northwestern State University faculty members Sarah McFarland and Mark Melder facilitated the first of four discussions on “Generations of struggle: perspectives on race and justice from the Civil War to the present” to a full house at the Natchitoches Parish Library, Wednesday July 5th. The program, funded by a grant from the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities that the library was recently awarded, will cover a variety of topics concerning the African-American experience since Reconstruction.

The program will be held over the next three Wednesdays starting at 6:00 pm at the Natchitoches Parish Library. It is free and open to the public. Please call the Library at 318-357-3280 to register for this informative program.
