A traffic stop by Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies July 7 led to the arrest of two north Natchitoches Parish women on felony drug charges, resulting in the seizure of illegal narcotics and weapons according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
NPSO Patrol Division deputies stopped a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe on Hwy. 9 near Creston Friday at 11:05 pm for a license plate that expired in February.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Roxanne Denise Rains, 41 of Goldonna. Deputies learned Rains driver’s license was suspended and compulsory insurance expired since 2016. A local wrecker service was contacted to impound the vehicle.

During an inventory of the vehicle, deputies seized a bag containing glass pipes commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics, digital scales, a syringe, a bag containing a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and additional paraphernalia in a child seat in an area where Williams was seated.
Deputies say Williams also handed them a cellophane bag concealed in her bra containing (11) alprazolam narcotic pills.
