Natchitoches Central High School will start off the 2017-18 school year with three new coaches. Principal Bill Gordy named Ronnie Abels as NCHS head softball coach on July 24. Abels has 10+ years experience coaching. Gordy said he is really excited about Abel’s knowledge of the sport.

A meeting for players and parents will be held Monday, July 31 at 6 pm in the NCHS School Cafeteria.

“I’m very happy to have him at Natchitoches Central,” said Gordy. “We’ve snagged a very excellent coach that should be able to turn the program around.”

With the addition of Tommy Moore (20+ years experience coaching) as NCHS head football coach and Richard Partridge (17+ years coaching experience) as NCHS Head Baseball Coach, Gordy is looking forward to seeing some better team play in the coming seasons.
