While the Natchitoches Tax Commission’s July report is a quarter month and shows more money being collected because of quarterly filers, everything seems to be holding up steady. Collections are slightly up, but remaining flat overall. There were also more new business applications in July than usual, according to Administrative Assistant Jodi Harris. The new businesses aren’t always brick and mortar like the new car wash on Keyser Avenue, but also include online and out-of-parish companies doing business in Natchitohces (ex: construction firms).
