Campti man arrested on felony drug charges

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Campti man on felony drug charges during a traffic stop Aug. 1 in Campti, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

NPSO Patrol Divison deputies stopped an older model Acura on Miley Drive in Campti at 1:30 pm for a traffic violation. A passenger identified as Willie Earl Marshall, 40 of Campti, was acting nervously. Deputies obtained permission to search the vehicle and occupants.

A search of Marshall’s person led to the seizure of approximately 1.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Marshall was transported to the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center, booked, and charged with 1-count of Possession of CDS Schedule II
Methamphetamine.

Marshall remains in the detention center awaiting bond.

Sgt. C. Dunn and Deputy C. Dranguet made the arrest.
