Red River Waterway Commission Opens Grand Ecore RV Park

The Red River Waterway Commission recently completed development of the Grand Ecore RV Park in Natchitoches Parish. The Park is located at 1071 Tauzin Island Road.

The RV park has 59 RV sites consisting of 24 pull-through sites and 35 back in sites. Amenities include a fully gated facility, asphalt roads and concrete RV Pads, water, sewer, and electric at each site, fire rings, activity center with seating for over 100 with a full kitchen, high speed WiFi throughout the park, a bathhouse with 12 individual restrooms with showers and a laundry room. The adjacent recreation area has a 2-lane concrete boat launch, an asphalt access road, parking lot for 108 vehicles and trailers, comfort station and a floating wharf.

The Red River Waterway Commission has greatly enhanced its recreational assets over the years and now maintains 20 recreation areas that are available for public use. These facilities provide access to boat launches, picnic areas, campsites, two RV parks and hiking trails.

I’ve been RV in all of my life and that does look like a beautiful place but $40 a night with no Senior Citizens Discount is outrageous this park was built with tax money why are they charging so much money for a one-night RV spot, all of the Louisiana state parks are nothing that expensive and I also give a senior citizen discount so I cannot afford a $40 Campground
