NSU’s Turpin Stadium reverberated with the sounds of full contact football this Saturday,  Aug. 12, as the Demons divided into into purple and white squads and squared off for the first full contact scrimmage of the season.  The Demons showed the focused intensity that the players, coaches and staff have been building over weeks of practice, study, drills and workouts. The offense and defense worked on various game scenarios as referees eyed the plays to give the Demons more of an actual game experience.

The Demons home opener is Sept. 9 at 6 pm against the Lamar University Cardinals. Come on out to Turpin Stafium to see some hard hitting Division I football action at a very modest price.

The Natchitoches Parish Journal wishes to extend its best wishes to the Demons for victory as they embark on the upcoming season. Fork ’em Demons!
