Natchitoches-Northwestern Symphony Conductor Doug Bankenhus, originally from Houston, visited the Rotary Club of Natchitoches at its meeting Aug. 28. He shared how he became interested in music in the 4th grade, and later was encouraged by his High School Band Director to major in Music in College. He appreciates the local community support for music.
