Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Campti woman on felony drug charges according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
NPSO Patrol Division deputies patrolling on Oil Road, north of Campti, stopped a 2002 Toyota pickup truck for a traffic violation on Sept. 26 at 8:15 am. The driver was identified as Rebecca Yvonne Desadier, 45 of Campti.
Desadier appeared nervous and was shaking, leading deputies to believe criminal activity existed. Desadier then began pleading to deputies to just let her go. Deputies asked Desadier if she had any illegal items in the vehicle to which she responded, “An empty baggie under the seat.”
Deputies went to the vehicle, observing suspected methamphetamine in plain view. A search led to the seizure of suspected methamphetamine and drug parpahernalia.
Desadier was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center and charged with Possession of CDS Schedule II Methamphetamine, Criminal Obstruction of Justice after she allegedly attempted to destroy evidence and traffic charges. She remains in the Natchitoches Detention Center awaiting bond.
The seized narcotics will be submitted to the crime lab for narcotics analysis.
Deputy D. Caballero and Sgt. C. Dunn made the arrest.
