The local chapter of the American Cancer Society held its 2017 Belles and Beaus on the Cane Gala Oct. 26. The 2017 Belles and Beaus Honorees are Wanda Poche, Yvonne Tubre, Krista Sklar, Lanell Causey, Nolton Causey, Wes Rollo, Vicki Murchison, Dr. Joan Walker, Jim Bob Key, Barbara Johnson, Dr. Moshood Olatinwo, and Marilyn Mullikin.
There were over 250 in attendance at Melrose Plantation to bid on auction items and help raise an expected $50,000. This event, a 10-year tradition, is a major fundraiser along with Relay for Life.
