FallSuper60-2017

There will be one more chance for high school and junior college players to showcase their skills at Brown-Stroud Field before the calendar flips to 2018.

Spots remain open for the Fall Super 60 Prospect Camp, which is set for 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at Northwestern State’s baseball home.

The camp, which runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., is open to high school graduates from the classes of 2018-2021 as well as junior college sophomores. JUCO sophomores must be an NCAA qualifier out of high school.

The cost of the camp is $100 for pitchers and $150 for position players.

Players will go through a pro-style workout in the morning, which includes a 60-yard dash, pro-agility shuttle drill, batting practice, infield/outfield velocity testing and catcher pop times. Campers will play two consecutive games following lunch.

Players not involved in the games at that time will go through individual drills at nearby Turpin Stadium and will be given tours of the NSU facilities.

Campers must bring his own baseball equipment, including a glove, bat, batting gloves, helmet, running shoes or turf shoes, hat and any other equipment he feels necessary to compete. Please mark the camper’s name on all items.
