Cane River Bar & Grill will celebrate ten years of business with a customer appreciation day on Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 11 am – 9 pm. The event will be all day with drink specials and appetizers served starting around 4 pm.
Owners Steve & Gay Moore encourage customers to attend this family friendly event that will include door prizes and special surprises for the kids! Employees from the past ten years are also invited to attend and catch up with old friends.
“Without our customers we wouldn’t be here,” said Gay. “We appreciate their support and feel grateful for our success and the fun we’ve had meeting so many great people.”
After searching for the perfect location, they chose the spot on Washington Street and spent the next nine months building their restaurant from the ground up. Opening in December of 2007 they quickly developed a strong local following.
David Stamey, who frequently has lunch and dinner at CRB&G, said he goes for a variety of reasons, ranging from menu selection, service, & price to the atmosphere. “I love the back porch,” he said.
CRB&G is the only restaurant on Cane River where you can pull up from the river in your boat and have a cocktail and some excellent seafood, BBQ or premium steak cooked to perfection.
Nicole Stroud, an employee for four years, worked as a manager before she graduated and found a job in her field. She still works occasionally on weekends because of her love of the locals and her fellow employees. “I love the connections I’ve made through the years,” she said.
Megan Maley, another long time employee, agrees. “Working together has made us family,” said Megan.
Customers come through the front door, are greeted by friendly faces, and get a great meal in a relaxing setting.
CRB&G also caters events and has to go orders!
