Natchitoches hotel owner’s Alexandria property receives LTPA Louey Award

Holiday Inn Award

The Louisiana Travel Promotion Association (LTPA), which voted Jan. 23 to change its name to the Louisiana Travel Association (LTA), introduced Holiday Inn Downtown Alexandria as the winner of the Accommodation of the Year/Full-Service Lodging during its Annual Membership Meeting Jan. 23 in Lafayette.

This year, LTA presented 17 “Louey Awards” to honor and showcase individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the Louisiana tourism industry.

“We are excited to be a winner of the Accommodation of the Year in full service Lodging,” said Jay Sharplin, Owner of the Holiday Inn Downtown Alexandria. “It is confirmation of the hard work our team has put in this past year.”

In 2017, Holiday Inn Downtown Alexandria was awarded TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence, named Best Interior Design of a Business and maintained an 8.3 overall score on AAA, based on exceptional reviews from guests.
