A Campti man who allegedly stole a relative’s cellphone and then threw coffee in her face when she confronted him about the incident was arrested last week by Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a theft in the 300 block of Holman Loop near Fairview Alpha on March 18.
Deputies say upon their arrival, they spoke to the complainant learning that a relative identified as Freddy Perot of Campti allegedly stole her cellphone.
The complainant later located Perot at a residence on Collier Hill Road near Campti, La. and when she confronted him he told her he took the phone to sell it to make money. Perot then allegedly threw a cup of coffee in the complainant’s face.
Deputies were unable to locate Perot and obtained criminal warrants for his arrest.
NPSO Patrol Division deputies responded to a complaint call on March 28 of an unwanted person at a residence in the 300 block of Holman Loop near Fairview Alpha in north Natchitoches Parish.
The unwanted person was identified as Freddy Perot whom deputies knew there were outstanding warrants for.
Deputies arrived on scene, and observed Perot going out the rear of the residence.
Deputies went to the rear of the residence and took Perot into custody without incident.
Freddy A. Perot, 33, of the 300 block of Holman Loop, Campti, La. was transported and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with Simple Battery for throwing coffee in the victim’s face and Theft of the Cellphone.
Perot remains in the Detention Center with bond set at $3,000.
