President Rick Nowlin was recently notified by the Governor’s Office that approximately 147 Parish homeowners who were affected by the March and August of 2016 flooding events have still not filled out the survey required to apply for relief through the Homeowner Assistance Program.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funds the Restore Louisiana Homeowner Assistance Program. This program was established to help homeowners who were affected by the 2016 floods. To participate in the program, eligible homeowners must first complete the survey. The deadline for completing the survey is Wednesday, July 20.
The information gathered from the survey will assist the state in its recovery planning efforts and demonstrate the state’s need for additional recovery assistance from Congress.
Residents can take the survey by visiting http://restore.la.gov/, or you can contact the Parish Offices at 318-352-2714 with any questions about participating in the Restore program.
