Rotary 07-31-18

Assistant Archivist at Northwestern State University’s Cammie G. Henry Research Center Sharon Wolff spoke to the Rotary Club of Natchitoches at its meeting July 31 about the Steel Magnolia movie exhibit on display at the Watson Library. She encouraged everyone to visit the third floor of the Watson Library to view Bobby Harling’s scrapbook collection of the Steel Magnolia movie filmed in Natchitoches. The library is open 8-5 on Monday-Thursday and 8-noon on Friday. 1. While we do have two of Mr. Harling’s scrapbooks on display in the exhibit, most of the materials are a natural result of the behind-the-scenes production process of the movie and were not collected by Mr. Harling. Scripts, location shots, design boards, and t-shirts are some of the things we have on display; come up any time we are open until the end of August!
